Protecting our shared environment is a priority for AB Technology Solutions. Awareness of our effect on the environment is the catalyst to managing it effectively.

Making small changes within our company will not only benefit the environment but if adhered to will ultimately increase productivity and save costs.

At AB Technology Solutions we are committed to saving energy and recycling where possible.

Below are a few examples of what we are currently achieving.

1. As an IT company energy saving is a priority for us, this is easily achieved by configuring computers to enter standby mode when not in use

2. All computers are turned off at the end of the work day, thus reducing energy consumption as well as a reduction in costs

3. Offering clients remote IT support reduces our transportation thus reducing our carbon emissions.

4. Office stationery produced from recycled material is used

5. We attempt to reduce our daily printing and reuse any paper where possible.

6. Due to the nature of our industry, our waste is mainly electronic. Items are collected by DESCO who recycle electronics.

7. Responsible purchasing has become easier as “Green” products availability has increased.

8. Where possible we have taken the option of electronic bills from our suppliers and only print them when absolutely necessary.

9. AB Technology quotes, statements and invoices are sent electronically.

In addition, we have purchased our Carbon Free Card and will soon be receiving the GPS coordinates of our first tree!
We aim to reduce our carbon footprint by implementing small changes and encouraging staff to recycle, minimize wastage and promote an awareness of environmentally friendly hardware to our clients.
